Good news for employees, order issued for 8% increase in dearness allowance

The Uttarakhand government has given a big gift to the employees of municipal bodies. The state government has issued an order to increase the dearness allowance of 11% and 6% to the employees coming under the 5th and 6th pay scales. The increase in dearness allowance will be effective from January 1, 2025 and along with this the employees will also be given the benefit of arrears. The benefit of increased salary will be given in September which will be available in October.

Dearness allowance of employees increased

According to the order issued by the government, the government has increased the dearness allowance of the employees of the 5th Pay Commission by 11%. Now after this the dearness allowance has increased from 455% to 466%. At the same time, the dearness allowance of the employees of the 6th pay scale has been increased by 6%, after which the dearness allowance has increased from 246% to 252%. The increase will be considered effective from January 1, 2025. Also, the arrears from July to August 2025 will also be given to the employees. This will benefit lakhs of employees and pensioners and they will be able to get benefits ranging from about ₹ 1200 to ₹ 2200 every month.

Dearness allowance of 7th Pay Commission was increased in May

Let us tell you that in the month of May, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government had increased the dearness allowance by 2% for the employees and pensioners who received the benefit of the 7th Pay Commission. After this, the dearness allowance had reached 55%. Through this, 1,70,000 employees and 1,45,000 pensioners benefited. In this, employees and family pensioners working in civil, family personnel, pensioners and local bodies, aided educational institutions and state universities and UGC pay scales got the benefit.
